HOSTING OF INTERNATIONAL INDIGENOUS LANGUAGES WRITERS FORUM (I.I.L.W.F) ANAKATSINA CHAMTER
We wish to notify all intending participants of the above forum that the arrival date has been shifted to Nov. 19th, and departure with be Sunday, Nov.22nd 2009. This is to give breathing space between the national ANA convention ending on Nov 1th 2009 in Minna Niger state and the forum.
Every other arrangement remains valid.
We regret any inconvenience caused by this shift.

On wed 17th June, 2009 by 10:am the members of association of Nigerian authors katsina state (ANAKATS) chapter visited the V.C Katsina University, katsina in brief speech, the Chairman, Alh Mohammad kabir Sani expressed delight for the opportunity to visit the V.C of the first community based Islamic University of Nigeria in this citadel learning. The V.C was further informed that the Association of Nigerian authors (ANA) is an association of creative writers with chapters all over the federation as such it is an umbrella under which many writing association operate. Several to this and considering the committeeman of ANAKATS the hosting of International Indigenous Writers forum 2009, was ceded to it handing over a copy of the budget to the V.C the Chairman pleaded for financial and any other possible support from the University.
In his replay, the V.C DR Umar Labdo named the visit, historic after intimating ANAKATS members with the situation of the University over 750 students, four depts. With one fully accredited and three with interim accreditation and about to have its first convocation in about three months, he went on to eulogize ANA, its members and writers in general. He said “writers ere fighters” he writer in English, Hausa and Arabic and wishes to be considered an ANA member. He went on to extend ANAKATS commending its courage, exploits and contributions in the society. Finally, the VC expressed the poor base of his Institution but promised that the University will assist and support ANAKATS especially in its hosting project. He thanked ANAKATS for honoring him.
